What Rust Tracker shows you
Designed for Rust players, server owners, and community staff who want a clearer view of when people actually play.
Per-hour activity
See which hours of the day a player is most active, based on their historical session data.
Weekday vs weekend
Quickly spot whether someone is mostly a weekday grinder, a weekend warrior, or plays evenly.
Monthly trends
See if overall Rust activity is rising, falling, or stable over the last few wipes and months.
How it works
1. Search a player
Enter a Steam name, Steam ID, or BattleMetrics ID. If the player isn’t in the local database yet, they’re added to an import queue.
2. BattleMetrics history
In the background, the system pulls historical session data for that player from BattleMetrics and stores it as aggregated stats.
3. Predictions & insights
Once there’s enough data, you’ll see estimates for next likely login windows, daily patterns, and long-term Rust activity trends.
All heavy lifting happens on the server. The browser never sees any API keys and only receives sanitized session statistics and prediction results.
Common questions
Do I need a BattleMetrics account to use this?
No. The browser never talks directly to BattleMetrics. All communication happens between the server and BattleMetrics; you just search players and view results.
How accurate are the predictions?
Predictions are based on past session patterns. They’re best for showing typical login windows and high-activity days, not guarantees. More data generally means better estimates.
Does this track live positions or in-game actions?
No. Rust Tracker only works with session start/stop times and basic server information. It does not track live movement, chat, or any in-game actions.
